Cycles and planning

Cycles are project-scoped, date-only timeboxes. The Cycles surface is a planning room: pick a status tab (Current / Upcoming / Completed), pick a cycle, and plan.

  • Rollup header: done/started/total with a progress bar, plus warning chips — n unowned and n undated. Click a chip to narrow the committed pane to exactly the items needing that decision; fixes update the counts live.
  • Committed pane (left): the cycle’s items with inline assignee and due-date editing, per-row Release, and checkbox multi-select → Release selected.
  • Backlog & unplanned (right): the project’s uncommitted items with per-row Commit and multi-select → Commit selected.

Keyboard: J/K move through rows, X selects, C commits the focused backlog row, R releases the focused committed row, Esc clears selection.

Items open in the context-preserving pane; refresh keeps the room beside it. Committing is always reversible — releasing never deletes the item, it just returns to the backlog.

Create, edit, and delete cycles from the room header; deleting a cycle releases its items rather than deleting them.
