The workspace home answers “what needs me?” before anything else.

1. Callout — one line with strict precedence: overdue items → due today → unread notifications → “You’re clear — plan something.” It links straight to the surface that resolves it.
2. Act now — Overdue and Due soon cards from your assigned work.
3. Your day — My open work and Inbox previews.
4. Ambient — active projects, current cycles with progress bars, and the roadmap summary.

Every card links into the real surface; the dashboard itself is read-only and composes existing data — nothing here is a separate report to maintain.

First run: the Getting started checklist

Immediately after creating a workspace, its owner is offered two optional setup steps: invite teammates and create a first project from a small previewable template. Both steps have Skip for now. Templates create only the project, its brief, and ScopeKite’s default workflow — never hidden sample tasks.

If you skip either step, nothing is lost. The workspace Home keeps the ongoing checklist below as the quieter path back when you are ready.

A fresh workspace greets its members (not guests — every step needs member permissions) with a small Getting started card above the dashboard:

1. Create your first project
2. Add your first task
3. Invite a teammate
4. Plan your first cycle
5. Skim the docs

Progress is real, not ceremonial — each step checks itself off when the workspace actually contains the thing (a project, an item, a second member, a cycle), and incomplete steps link to where you’d do the work. The checklist never blocks anything: dismiss it with the ✕ (it stays gone on this browser), or just finish the steps and it retires itself.
